- Go to the MnLink
Gateway.
- Click Sign In.
- If your library card barcode
begins 22510 and you are unable to sign in to MnLink, please
stop at the checkout desk the next time you're at the Library.
- Enter your library card barcode
number. No PIN/Password is needed for Duluth Public Library or
Arrowhead Library System cards
- Choose a Pick Up Location.
To choose the Duluth Public Library (Main Library or
branches), select
- My Library - if your library card barcode begins

- Duluth Public Library - if your library card barcode begins

- You will see the Basic Search
page. Enter your search terms (author, title or subject words)
in the box labeled Enter Keywords and click the Search
button. (Note: keep your search simple. MnLink searches library
catalogs statewide. Less-complicated searches will likely yield
more results.) Or you may click on Advanced Search in
the column on the left.
- At the Search Results
page, click on Details to see that the item found is the
one you want. If so, click Get It! to place a request
for this item.
- You will see the My Requests
page with details about this item. Click on Request via ILL
or Get It!
- Choose a Pickup Location
from the dropdown menu in the middle of the screen. This is where
you can choose to pick up materials at the Main Library, Mt Royal
Branch Library or West Duluth Branch Library.
- Click Submit
- Click Sign Out when you
are finished.

Tips
- If you want to enter additional
information to limit the search (for example, if you want a DVD
or a specific volume or edition), enter the information in the
Edition field.
- For journal articles or multi-volume
sets, please complete the Part Details section of the
form. Request only one article, volume or part per form.
- Enter any other special instructions
in the Special Instructions box. This may increase
the amount of time before your request is filled.
- A date is automatically filled
in on the "This item not needed after" field. If necessary,
modify that date using this formula:
