Someone and Make a Difference...One Child at a Time
Wednesday, April 30, 2003
Duluth Public Library, Green Room
7:00 p.m.
Adults can have a strong impact on children just by sharing time
together. Everyone should have at least one person who they can
say made a difference in their lives; those influential people
are called "mentors." Join mentors, children and staff
from the Mentor Duluth program and Mentoring Works! for a panel
discussion on the effects of being a positive adult role model
through mentoring. Hear from adults about the challenges and rewards
of being a mentor and from children about the joys of having a
positive adult role model other than a parent. There are currently
more than 400 people in the Northland who are making an impact
on the lives of children living right here in our community.
