My late professor, Morrie Schwartz, would have loved Duluth's Reading: Bridge to a Wider World project. He loved to organize gatherings and spearhead group discussions. I am honored that my book, Tuesdays with Morrie, has been suggested for citywide reading in Duluth and can think of no better testament to my old professor.

Bringing people together for a common goal isn't a new concept, but it's certainly one that's stepped to the forefront, especially during these past few years. It is my sincere hope that Tuesdays with Morrie will help to continue the wonderful tradition of providing a bridge to a wider world through words and lessons and through the hearts and minds of the good people of Duluth.
