Call to Order: President Dan D'Allaird called the meeting of the Duluth Public Library Board to order at 4:35 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, and reviewed the agenda. The agenda was approved as drafted

Approval of Minutes
The Library Board minutes of the May 25, 2010 meeting were approved.

New Business
Approve list of invitees to community focus groups - Powers handed out a draft list of names, and the list was finalized. It was decided that Powers should send out a letter to each invitee and ask for a response by June 22, which is the date of the next regular board meeting. Board members will divide up the list of people who have not responded, and will work from a script to make follow-up calls.

There was discussion about whether to set up a special community focus group of leaders from the outlying areas such as Hermantown and Proctor. It was decided to first concentrate on the Duluth focus groups and bring names for the outlying focus groups to the next regular board meeting.

Set dates for community focus group meetings - Consensus was that Powers should set dates and times, being sure to include some evening meetings. Meetings will be scheduled at the Main Library, City Center West and the Portman Community Center.

The meeting adjourned at 6:05 p.m.
The next meeting will take place Tuesday, June 22 at 4:30 p.m. in the library's conference room.
