- The American West - This site covers the "history and development
of the American West, from the Frontier and Pioneer days of the
Wild West, to today's Modern West." It includes information
and links about westward expansion, trails, cowboys, Native Americans,
pioneers, trappers, gunslingers, outlaws, ghost towns, and more.

is designed to walk students through the process of researching
History Day projects. Provides guidance for research process
and recommends sources available to Minnesota residents.

regional or national history sites, topical history sites such
as Native Americans and women, and general history resources.
- "Indian Affairs
: Laws and Treaties"
- An online version of the print seven volume compilation edited
by Charles Kappler, covering U.S. Government treaties with Native
Americans from 1778-1883 (Volume II), and U.S. laws and executive
orders concerning Native Americans from 1871-1970 (Volumes I,
III-VII). Volume II only is available now, but more will be available
soon.
