- 4000 Years of Women in Science - Biographical information about over
125 women who worked in scientific and technical fields.
- Biography File Index - This is a list of people about whom the Duluth
Public Library keeps a file of information, mostly newspaper
clippings and magazine articles. The focus of the collection
is people who have had a connection with Duluth or Minnesota. Developed
and maintained by Duluth Public Library staff.
- Biography in Context (formerly Biography Resource Center) - a comprehensive
database of biographical information on more than 185,000 people
from throughout history, around the world, and across all disciplines
and subject areas. It contains approximately 250,000 biographies
and includes full-text articles from nearly 250 periodicals.
Search for people based on one or more personal facts such as
birth and death years and places, nationality, ethnicity, occupation
or gender. Available only to Duluth Public Library cardholders.
Subscription provided by the Arrowhead Library System.
- Biographical Dictionary - A searchable dictionary covering more than 28,000
notable men and women, from ancient times to the present day.
- Biography File Index - This index lists the names of people
included in the Duluth Public Library's Biography Files. The
Biography Files contain information, mostly in the form of newspaper
or magazine articles, on people who have had some connection
to Duluth or Minnesota. Contents of the files can range from
one brief article to many articles and other pieces of information.

Also includes a special index of female mathematicians.
- Minnesota Legislators Past & Present - A biographical database from the Minnesota
Legislative Reference Library covering all Minnesota legislators
back to territorial times. Search by name, birth year, educational
institution, county served, city of residence (when first elected)
and more. Information varies, but can include age, occupation,
education, family relationships, other government services, sessions
served, and committees.
- POTUS: Presidents of the United States - a compilation of Internet sites about
past and present presidents, including biographies, speeches
and writings,first ladies, cabinet members, and more.
- Presidents of the United States - The most comprehensive site on the
Internet for presidential resources.
- Royal Genealogies - genealogies for the members of the
royal families of the British Isles.
- Who's Alive and Who's Dead - A "site that helps you keep track
of which famous people have died and which are still alive!"
Information includes full name, status (dead or alive), birth
and death dates, and age.
